Money for culture on the Antilles and Aruba
KulturA supports projects that reinforce the cultural infrastructure on the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba and strengthen (international) cultural exchange. Projects that promote exchanges between the islands and the Netherlands and projects that strengthen the international position of the islands in the Caribbean region can also be supported.
Does your organisation have plans for a project on the Antilles and Aruba?
We support projects that:
- contribute to improvement of the cultural infrastructure; for example by means of one-off investment in ICT equipment, configuration, training or digitisation costs;
- focus on international interchange between the islands and the Netherlands or other parts of the world, for example contributions towards travel and accommodation costs and the costs of creating networks;
- contribute to increasing professional expertise in the cultural sector;
- are of public interest and fall outside the standard support possibilities of the funds because they are of an interdisciplinary nature.
Applications can be submitted by organisations on the Antilles or Aruba.
KulturA is a collaborative venture between the Mondriaan Foundation (Mondriaan Stichting), the Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture (Fonds voor beeldende kunsten, vormgeving en bouwkunst), the Performing Arts Fund (Nederlands Fonds voor Podiumkunsten), the Cultural Participation Fund (Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie) and the Dutch Foundation for Literature (Nederlands Letterenfonds). KulturA is a supplement to the regular funding options provided by these five funds.
